Have tested both my chargers in the wife's pathfinder and they work fine, will try her gps when I get home. Strange that the lighter works fine tho. Might try sanding the end point as the lighter grabs from the front edge.

1970 lighters are exactly like 2010 lighters. They are 12V source, nothing has changed.
Some of the iPOD USB adapters don't charge unless the iPOD is on. What other devices have you tried?

G'day good people,
I happen to have noticed that although my lighter works in the 1200 ute anything else I plug into the socket doesn't.
I'm not sure if it's a bad earth or if they use different voltages to new/standard sockets. Only thing I would like to use is a iPhone charger (USB adapter).
Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks, Daniel
