Call Repco and say my datsun 120y starter motor solenoid has #OOPS# itself. Can you get me a replacement solenoid.
It will be a part common to many starter motors.

Get a new solenoid and fit it yourself. They have two thick copper contacts that corrode over time.
I'd look for a working second hand one and overhaul your current one when you have spare time.

More than likely it will be a dodgy solenoid which is replaceable but you can buy a whole new starter for $185 now-a-days so personally I can't be stuffed fixing them anymore!
