76mm,maybe I missed that thread. I'm a bit reluctant to bore more than necessary.

Someday this project needs to get out my head and into reality. Thinking is all I have time for at the moment....

Lamb - what OD were you looking at because these were in a talked previous thread and come in
LOW and HIGH comp (19mm pin )

Disregard if your looking for anything over 76mm

I did some similar research and found that Chevy Aveo uses a 79mm piston with very short skirts similar to motorcycle pistons. They have an 18mm pin and a 27.10mm pin height. I also found that a Kia Spectra 1.8 T8D connecting rod dimensions are very close, center to center distance was 135.89 I think. This combo would work in an A15, when I checked on Rockauto it was possible to buy a complete piston set and four rods for $428.00

I looked up the FJ1100, wiki tells me it's a 74mm bore, and the FJ1200 is a 77mm bore.

few speedway users in early 80,s used bike pistons. Pretty sure they were Yamaha FJ1100 pistons early model

Totally agree for an NA application but I have a high comp. boosted application in mind. That requires heavier duty pistons for the extra heat and occasional ping.
