You can use a regular 56-series 5-speed. As long as it's behind an A12, it is strong enough.
The 56A 4-speed is strong enough for an A14/A15.

Come on guys someone must have a 56a laying around, I just need to get this ute back on the road as it is my daily. Don't care if it isn't the late model box as if it comes down to it I will strip it and put the good bits in my casing

If yours is a late sunny truck, the gear box is slightly different.(switch on 4th to change carby mixtures).

Hey guys so i #OOPS# 3rd gear in my ute yesterday and while im would love to be able to do a 5spd convo now i need to try and save some money while im fixing up my s14a. If anyone has one they are willing to off load on the cheap i would be very grateful
