Pitman arm should have zero play. Even the slightest is not normal.

Death wheel wobble can be caused by:
* Bent wheel
* Unbalanced tire
* Worn or loose wheel bearing
* Worn or loose steering components
* Worn or loose ball joints
* Alignment off

i meant to say that it has no play nothing u can feel just slightest which i assume is normal.

the thing has like the death wobble i hadnt had the chance to jack it up but could it be the bearing preload?

Even a little play is bad.

hey i have a question regarding a corolla ke30

i havnt looked over it fully yet but i was told by the previous owner that it has a bad pitman arm but i checked it and it dosnt have much play in it.

anyway the question is that when driven over 40k per hour the steering shakes like it has the death wobble my mate said the front tyres go side my side aswell. it is realy bad the whole car shakes and cant be driven over 50 as it gets worse.

yes the tyres are on tight LOL. what could it be steering box? pitman arm? or the wheel bearings preload not tourqued to specs?

could a worn pitman arm do this? (it is very bad)

Thanks!
