Thanks everyone for your replies. From that I'll go with the 15x6 with 175/50's and 15 x7 with 195/ 50's - +15 offset
Cheers D

What tire will fit? Same width, offset and overall diameter as with 13" or 14".

175 width is safe
185 width is tight
195 width is far as you can go on the FRONT with stock suspension and bodywork

Offset: around +15

Diameter should be kept small, 175/60R15 is readily available, but 1-1/2 inches taller than stock tyres.

175/55R15 is even better, it's only 3/4" taller than 12" tires. So they will fit exactly like 175/70R13.

+40? Are you using spacers? They would rub the suspension struts, and the inside back guards, I can't imagine they would fit...

If it were -40 they would be sticking like 60-70mm put of the guards...

With the guards rolled, I have pushed both boundaries as far as I could.

On the front I have 15x6.5 +16 with 195x45's.
On the rear I have 15x7 +15 with 195x45's (could do 205's just have not replaced them yet).

Pic for reference
