Saw you have an l18 to go in. Will lower it another 5-10mm with the 10kg over axle line

well i cut a bit more off the springs as i was up around 30mm in the front and 0 in the back (spacing from tire to lip). so it looks a little bit better now. i just have to finish putting all the new bushings in and ill put up a pic of the finished height.

Was talking to an engineer up here who had got off the phone with Murray Coyote that day, he said the optimal travel in a tarmac car should be 50-60mm on the front and ~40-50mm on the rear. So essentially it depends where your rear ends up.

well i have three sets of springs (two parts cars) so i figured i'd give it a shot this way and if i don't like it ill switch it back. I measured the space between the front lip and the wheel and i got 30mm in the front and nil in the back so i might have cut a tiny bit out of the front. to bring it down to that 10-20mm that was suggested by littlefreyone.

Thats not entirely a bad thing in the 1200 from my experience.
The softer rear rate helps get traction to a degree with increased rear squat (especially with a ute) and the front is too softly sprung.

When you cut a coil spring shorter, you increase its spring rate ( that is, make the spring stiffer). When you remove a leaf from a spring, you reduce its spring rate ( make it less stiff). So your changes are making the two ends of the car react to bumps differently. A less permanent way of doing what you want would be to add weight to the car to compress its springs. The weight could be removed when you did not want it.

Its will be a road car but not a daily. I did measure the pressures before hand. after work ill measure the front end spacing. and let ya know.

the front needs to be a little higher than the back, say 10-20mm max, is this a road going car or off road?

i would probably check all of your tyre pressues before doing so, and id measure from the bottom of the guard lip and the lip of your rim.

i cant see why not?

If i were to measure the gap between the top of the rear wheel and the bottom of the fender would it be same as the front gap?
