Hey, My mum and dad are doing their usual anual migration to Palm Cove in the next couple of months.
For the past few years they have taken their trusty VR SS commodore, but the three thousand plus Kays each way tend to take their toll on both the car and the old fellas back.
I have suggested that after the cost of the ferry, petrol, and accommodation, they would be better off hiring a car or taxi to get about (down to the shops, doctors, surf club etc). The old fella seem set in his mind he wants to buy some sort of cheap reliable run about and the re sell it before the leave. He has done this before and lost a she'd load of money.
So I was wondering if anyone in the cairns/palm Cove area has a tidy reliable car (sunny, bluebird, skyline, or some sort of corolla, corona etc).
They will only need it for a few months (max) and Will pay a reasonable price for a good car. They will also need to be able to resell when they are done.
If you have something that is taking up space and could do without it for a couple of months, (for some good beer money) please let me know.
He will probably throw some good money at it for tyres and brakes.
Cheers. Glenn.
