Yes the rotary IS my favourite motor.

Anyway, apparently I got off to a bad start with one member so I'll leave it at that.

Thanks for all your warm welcomes and I look forward to chatting with you all.

ps. YRLOSS...still waiting for pics of your 1600

well it's good to hear the rotary is not your favourite!

so what was it? - a classic car show, sprint event or what?

was everyone as impressed as you thought they'd be?

OK mate, I'll give you the beneifit of the doubt, but I've never seen a burnout contest at any historic event I've been to.

Hey, don't take everything so seriously, I was just havin a joke.

The burnout in my avatar was done on a public road here in Orange that is also an old race track called Gnoo Blas, made famous by Sir Jack Brabham in his hey day. Once a year this road gets shut down for a Classic Car day, when we have the run of the track to do what we want with.

I've got a gold licence and a (near) perfect driving record (everyone's allowed one mistake...going 78 when I thought I was in an 80 zone).

Hope that clears up any misunderstanding of who you think I am

btw, would you be upset if I assumed that your avatar was illegal drifting on public road(much more dangerous than a static burnout) without knowing what is REALLY happening??

Lighten up ok, I'm here to talk about my favourite type of car not upset anyone

no I'm not a cop. I'm just one of the guys that gets tarred with the same brush as you by the cops. So I had to stop driving my Datsun everyday. Worked out for the best though, as it let me do all those things to make it a better car on the track that are simply out of the question for a car that you drive on the road every day.

but hey, if you are happy being a hoon, then good luck to ya. You'll need it with the laws they have these days. Hopefully you'll grow out of it before you lose your car

Why a rotary?

Well I can't really answer that here

If you wanna know then go drive a 500hp rotor and you'll understand

Plus that sweet sweet sound

And regarding the avatar....Are you a cop???

Thanks, its a bit rough but not too bad.

My ute's purple and its a 1974 model and the mags are 15in auscars.
Its a pretty standard A15 at the mo. just a cold air intake and extractors, 2.25 inch exhaust

But plans are for a weber for now. Then suck through turbo later on. 5 speed, and I have a set of white 16in skyline GTS wheels, but i need to make some longer studs up
