I've found that on the A14 and A15 keep the timing standard at 7 degrees unless you've modified the cam, did the head and head the standard hitachi carb removed then you could run at around 10 degrees

15 degrees initial is pretty high. US engines are from 5-10 degrees depending on the year.

ive got an a15 running 15 deg advance and it is pinging quite badly. ive now brought it back to 10 deg it has stopped, i was just wondering wat is the stock setting is and wat other people are running them on
