Yes, also use cam assembly lube and proper cam break-in procedure

Yes, you must use A12 pushrods with A12 block. The A14 pushrods are about 15mm longer and so will not fit (A14 block is 15mm taller than A12 block)

hI!

i taken measures on camshaft with more precision, and the cams are ok, but some have some shadows and one have a litle material dent.

Please give me your opinion? Its a big deal? or take the risk and assembly it with this material dent on cam? The lifter will make some pressure in all cam and will toutch the dent too, im afraid the lifter will increase the cam dent?

Thanks

Luis

I use the standard lifters; current cam in the A15 is 278 Duration with .420 lift. I try and keep that motor to 7800 rpms but it does see 8200 on occasion.

The cam in the A12 was 286 duration with .460 lift and I used standard lifters with that as well. I was revving the A12 to 8600 rpms on a regular basis, the rings wore out after two seasons and when I pulled the motor apart the lifters looked fine.

With all that said keep in mind that as a track only car I'm doing all of 900 miles a year; granted it's 900 miles with the motor above 5000 rpms most of the time.

On the electric fuel pump I use one of those square Facet brand pumps, because the carbs are Keihin Flat Slide bike carbs I use a regulator at 1.2 - 1.5 psi.

What kind of lifters do you use with a longer cam duration?

The first time i used Nissan Part Number: 13231-78201 720 Pickup 4 Cyl 2.2L Diesel, 4 Cyl 2.5L Diesel
SD22, SD25, but the first lifter by side of distribuition must be shave because touch slightly the camshaft.

What do you recomend used standard ones? or 13231-78201 have larger head on them, prevents uneven wear on camshaft lobs.

My camshaft has wear too. i need regring again another one...................

i HAVE an A15 h50

This time I must buy a elecrical fuel pump, i saw 17010-A7600 17010-A7601 and this model is for Carburetor vehicles requiring a low pressure pump and to replace factory electric or mechanical pumps
1.3L/min @ 29kPa/4.2psi

Mikuni recommended fuel pressure is 2.84 - 4.98 psi

I think its not need a regulator, please let me know

and i will order the springs from Iskenderian to avoid any doubts

Im counting with your advices

Thanks

I have contact the Iskenderian, and they inform me to verify the coil biding, perhaps it is the problem to cause the wear on the rocker arms, and in other hand acording with Dave and Tom i will verify the oil circuit on cylinder head.

Im afraid the coil biding makes serious problems on camshaft.

Aparently i cant see any wear its smooth on lobes no scratches. I dont know if gains some wear..... f.......

one lobe appears lack of material.

Thanks

First off; the GX valve springs will not support the cam you have. The cam you have is near 11mm valve lift.

I'm running similar cam lift and when I assembled the motor I checked the GX springs for bind and couldn't even get a feeler gauge in between the coils to measure them, clearly they were binding. Check Iskederian's website, I used their springs.

As for checking the oil passages; you can use an oil can to pump oil through the head to check the passages.
