My vote is no on the chat room. I like to be able to revive old threads from time to time. Like the Datsuns rock group thing for instance. Besides, I check the club when I'm at work and don't really have the time to get involved in a good chat. I also vote against the instant message type of thing. I don't really have a reason except I don't like them.

I would have agreed with a chat room... But 1200RC is right, with no history recorded in a chat room, loads of info is lost.

Daniel is right too, in that Instant Messenger etc can be used for chat. Plus if we had a group chat room, we'd all end up talking to 1200RC 24x7 Especially now he has his Datto club knighthood. I vote we help 1200RC find other things to do, like helping old ladies cross the road or studying to earn more money, so you can follow your dream of owning 10 Dattos.

with chat you can miss a lot of good info as it is not recorded anywhere

Do you really want that?
You can use yahoo messenger or ICQ to chat with people (you have shortcuts for that on your profile). Usually if you have a chat system the rest of the site looses too much attention.

... comments?
