Hey-ya for Sammy! I agree wholeheartedly. The B210 (120Y/Bee) is not necessarily a bad little car, but the light, tight chassis of the 1200 is objectively better for perfomance, fuel economy, handling ...

OK, I'll go farther. I drove many B210s, including one back and forth to work for over a year. I dislike every one of them. I do like the B310 (Sunny) though. I also drove a B310 for a year or two (a 2-dr sedan).

The most funny thing is that while the B310 is noticeably bigger (wider, more room under the bonnet, etc), it weighs less than the B210! At least for US models.

[edit] No offense meant to those who prefer B210 styling ... like Jaime . I'd rather have a B210 than most cars of that era. Go Datsun!

the boys a genius!!!

yes, actually that is very true, most of that was added up the front to accomodate the l-series they put in em in japan, making them front heavy and prone to understeer

i had an old copy of WHEELS from 1974, which stated sumthng like this ...."there has been no major changes to the engine, which now has an extra 500 odd Lbs to carry around..." which is of course referring to the release of the 120y, which is the main reason i think u will find, that we hav a 1200 club, not 120y club
