Ok, I got your bolt.

If you can e-mail with your address, I will send it off first thing Monday morning.

Cheers.

Leigh

Yeah you bet. It's the last thing holding me off on the assembly of the motor. It was in pieces when I got it so I haven't been able to measure up old bolts.

If the g/box is still on you could leave it in gear.

I guess there is a washer or something that holds the pulley on too.

I've had no luck down here in Tassie with the wreckers - nobody seems to care about anything older than the eighties.

Might be able to organise this for you. I am going out to have a look at a 1200 coupe for parts tomorrow night. I know the head is off the engine, so I should be able to stand on the pistons while undoing the bolt. Let me know if you still need it.

Cheers.

If you or anyone else wants to stick one in an express post bag and send it to me I'd be happy to give you something for your trouble.

Why dont you try going to your local wrecker in Hobart.......there is sure to be a datto of some desription with an A-Series engine.....1200, 120Y, Sunny, C20 Van etc etc.

If not i can bring one down to Hobart from Sydney on the 1st weekend of August as I will be in Hobart that weekend.

It's not running yet - 'cos I'm missing the crank end bolt. If someone can tell me what the specs are on the bolt - or even send me one - I'll let you know how it runs.

Ah, from the link, your Spitfire is looking nice. I always liked them best of all Triumphs.

These carbs were fitted to 120Y (B210) GX engine (flat tops). The Hitachis are often called SUs as the design is almost the same as the British SUs. I see you know have real SUs on it. Did it make much difference?

I need someone to sell / send me a crank bolt to hold the pulley onto the end of an A12 GX crank.

Or maybe someone can tell me the thread pitch, thread length, thread diameter and head size.

See my motor rebuild at Triumph Owners

I am in Hobart, Tasmania.
