No hood scoops for my ride The air-to-water set-up sounds good. I'll look into it. Anyone know any sites that sell them?

Subaroo do air-to-water intercooler. Or maybe stick an air-to-air on top of the engine poking out the hood scoop, like Nissan does.

Well, here's a kooky thought. Why not go with an air to water intercooler? The radiator for the coolant, separate from the engine coolant please, wouldn't need to be all that huge. Plus, the intercooler could be mounted anywhere in the comressor discharge to throttle body pipe and make that run MUCH shorter. Please, let's do anything to avoid using water injection!

Arrgggh... Well, after having a Datto with AC for about a month...I'll NEVER go back So, I have to decide how I can have a turbo and AC. Low boost and water seems like the best way. If I end up going with a stand-alone management I can probably get away with 6-7psi and use nothing to cool it.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGH! Water injection! Why not just go draw through turbo while you're at it? Come on John, you know I had to bash the "old school" (pronounced: Band-Aid)turbo stuff. Let it be known that my personal turbo project has reverted to a draw through setup. But I admit that I'm a hypocrite, and don't have problem one with that fact.

Well, I'm right now thinking more along the lines of no intercooler, and keeping the boost down to 6-7psi while running water injection...

A/C or Turbo/IC....who needs air conditioning in Texas anyway?! I went two years without A/C down in San Antonio, no prob. It did suck having to change shirts/clothes 2 or more times/day though. At the rate things are going, you'll have your turbo on before I will. My car has been in Japan now for 2 weeks, I'm still not allowed to pick it up yet, customs doesn't take this stinkin long, I want my car back!

The grill is powdercoated dark charcoal grey, and the window trims were painted to match. As far as mods, where do I start... Z22E/5spd, 280ZX front struts, rear crossmember slotted for adjustment, front suspension all modified for adjustment of camber/caster (but I still need more negative camber up front), Vintage Air AC system, 240Z seats recovered grey cloth (and the stock rear done to match), GM Arctic White paint, BRE spoiler, and LOTS more to come! Short list of upcoming stuff, BMW projector headlights, maybe 16" wheels, rear disc conversion, maybe adjustable coil-overs up front, and maybe some boost The engine was built to be a turbo motor, everything inside balanced with an O-ringed headgasket. I'm looking at something like a Garrett T28 with a front mount intercooler (but that interferes with the AC ).

Yeah, I'm afraid we've lost this one! But take heart all, he's one of those rare breeds that like ALL cars. He won't become one of those "1600 drivers" that 1200 Rallycar hates so much. By the way, it's been so long since I logged in, I forgot my password for a minute. Sorry to be such a slacker. I'll try harder in the future.

That's a beautiful looking 510 you got there. What engine/upgrades does it have? I imagine it wasn't cheap in that condition. Hope you're don't go over to the dark side and start liking the 510 more than 1200's! That's blasphemous! Have fun w/your new toy!
