I never thought about the "drive up next to a beautiful woman" factor. I was stuck on the impossibility of the McDonalds Drive-thru.

I like to drive american sometimes at home..normally only happens when I'm in a silly mood. I prefer back streets to freeways for this kind of activity.

I've been wanting to do the same with my datto's, I like being original, diferent. The best way I think would be to import a used car from Australia, or at least all the front section. I will do the first one sometime, get a B210, a 180B, put them in a comtainer and bring them in.
As for driving RHS, I like it, I have a RHD Jeep, it is fun, if a unwanted road companion shows on the road(like the police), I drive on the right side, away from their intrusive stares, they are on the complete opposite side, too bad for them. When going into drive throughs, when not busy(the drive th)I have fun, driving the opposite way, to the astonishment of all the people in, pretending everything is fine, and they say, you're driving the wrong way! and I reply, "you guys are drunk! you built this place completely upside down", and for the very few troublemakers or scroodges, I go, Oh! I see , discrimination , I think I will have to contact my attorneys, you should ensure access to us all, you are discriminating against me based on my driving style, watch out!(uhuhahahaha), in US people are so afraid of law suits that this stupid remark freezes them flat(ahahahaha). It is better for parking, you do not have to deal with trafic, just jump off onto the sidewalk.I like it. When a nice girl is driving next to you, you next to her, you look at her, smile, and then realize RHD is the way to go!!

Yeah have you put much thought into it turk? Drive thru's, turning left in a turn lane... sure there's more situations where RHD would suck.

In my LHD US sedan, I can easily reach the right side window crank to roll down the window and reach out. It shouldn't be too hard to "function" in a RHD 1200 at drive-thru's and toll booths.
That's just my opinion.

Hi Matt, do you know where they got the wrecked ute from?

Rumor has it there was a 1200 ute in Washington state about 10 years ago.

Classic Datsun Motorsports own a Coupe converted to RHD usin bits from a wrecked Ute. Plans are for a full resto and either an sr20de or ca18de. So it will easily be a $12k car by the time they're done widit.

The harriest ting about having a RHD car in the USA will be passing on the left.

Hi Turk, I found this discussion using the search box: LHD to RHD, it may answer some of your questions.
