that`s the one. thanks il have to check that out.the old girl is off the road at the moment. it started with "just swapping" the original tarbin with a fancy water cooled ceramic roller job from a single turbo vg30. what followed was a lot more than "just" putting a new tarbin on :valve springs, fly wheel (cracked beyond machining), pressure plate (also cracked), head (cracks between seats). but hopfully when she back on the road that will be it for a while.

wouldn't happen to be red with 'rebel' wheels?

about the diffs, that series BW was used in many 70's Jap car assembled in Aus. I've only looked for lower ratios (3.89, 4.1, and 4.3) in corollas, but I think some other larger cars like Coronas used the same BW diff too - they might have a taller ratio. They'll all be wider housings than the 120Y, but you should be able to swap centres or crownwheel/pinion.
