Ridge, you are in the USA, right? The only rear-wheel-drive A14s were in the B-210 and B310 (210). There were three manual transmission families used in these cars (in the USA).

What is the shift pattern? Is Reverse to the left or to the right?

If the engine was a used import, it might be something unusual to the US.

If you can take a picture of the transmission and put in the club photo album, we might be able to ID it.

my sunny gearbox has that label on it aswell it came matched up to my A14 who knows it might mean F*@#in S@#t

F probably means "floor-shift" A might mean a-type transmission (not a-type engine).

Take a look at the photos in 5-speed Overview. Even if yours is a four-speed, you should be able to ID it based on the information and picture links.

I am trying to identify the tranny bolted to my A-14 engine. the only mark is FA on top of the bellhousing. Anyone have a clue
