Part of the plan. I might get a Japan Rail pass before I go.

you'll have to travel hours (and many km's) outside of tokyo to see anything of the above

I heard that for English teacher you basically just need a college degree?

Zama Memorial Warehouse.

But I'm hoping the Sunny museum is open to the public.

I'm planning a trip to Tokyo next month, I've been invited by my neighbor who is a Japanese citizen.

Here are some places I'd like to visit, but cannot find hours/tour/address information. Any suggestions?

- Nissan Engine Museum (I want to ask about the AY12 engine)
- Sunny museum "inside main gate of Zama factory"
- Any vintage car shows (june) or vintage races
- Wrecking yards (even out in the country) friendly to visitors/lookers
- Any swap meet/flea markets ??? where car parts might be found. I plan to check out an "Up Garage" store or two per the previous post
- A mountain to walk up (smaller than Fuji ... )?

I've been searching using terms like the following but not finding anything:Quote:

Scroll down to Zama Memorial Warehouse.
If you can get figure out how to take a tour of that place you're all good.

Try and find an Up Garage... they're a second hand parts store. They usually have tons of old school parts as well as a lot of new stuff. There a national chain and we just got one this year and it rocks.

And, of course, make it to Yokohama while you're there... it's pretty much the mecca for japanese motorsports or anything car related in Japan.
