1200rallycar. Luckily my car never freezes like that anymore.Although it did freeze like that a few years back.
Ice was 1cm thick on the front window and the roof.
Pulled choke, one quick turn of the key and the baby kicked into live.
That is when I knew datsuns are very hard to get down.

1200rallycar.You said that you could start your car easy even when cold. This I presume was even with your huge cam installed.
Do you think it will start easier with a smaller cam?
I am thinking of putting in a 276 cam into my A12.

i had 42's webers with 34mm chokes, they were too big, but then ive heard others say they have had success with 34s, so im a bit confused, i dont know the specs on my cam but huge was an accurate description, my car made 56rwkW with that setup, ran like a dog under 3000rpm, but never needed a choke for cold starts or anything

I am using the standard GX intake manifold at the moment.
Good luck in finding a secondhand one.
They are just as difficult to find as a GX head.
Can't you let someone make a intake manifold for you?

I just saw in classifieds a pair of 40 DCOEs for sale and they said f16 emulsions and 34mm chokes.

What type of intake manifold did you use for the SUs? I'm looking for an intake for a pair of SUs I picked up for my A12a.

Can anyone tell me how to setup 40mmDCOE twin Webers on a A12 engine?
(What chokes,etc.....)
Do these carbs have any problems with cold starting in mornings and in winter?
I am currently using twin SU's at the moment and would like to convert to Webers.
Will they give me much more power than the SU's?
