Hi all

Im currently building a 1200 ute that is getting a ca18det transplant and was wondering if anyone out there has set up theres to go as good around corners as it dose in a straight line.Im just trying to find out what springs, struts swaybars ect that people have used and if they work. Also ive seen alot of 1200's that have a ca18 have used a skyline stumpy gearbox with the ca bellhousing dose anyone know what model skyline this box is out of and if so dose it fit without and trans tunnel mods besides a new mount.

hope you guys can help

thanks Stuart

hay matey use sunny struts ,magna discs, girlock calipers...
this set up will suprise u with better braking then a new commodore
as for stumpy why ???
they are weak as... u are better of using longer box who cares if it sits further back..its actually more comfortable.. if u are gona use stumpy skyline box model is mr30 skline.. and im pritty sure it does fit with no cuting tunnel .. i dont no i used the ca18det box the one that came with the motor..
ps if u gona do big mods and drag this thing on the streets i would go ca18det box.. much stronger... u wont regret it

ive heard of people using many different strut brake combos in this club like 120y struts, stanza even s13 silvia. the larger 20mm i think sway bar from the 120y is a bolt in which makes the front end stiffer. as for the gear box i think it comes from a mr30 with the 2.4l motor? it is surposed to fit in the manual trans tunell and the shifter is surposed to line up with original hole. ca box is much stronger and smoothe r shifting.

just a hint try using the search button on the left hand side of screen. ull be surprised at just how much usfull info is in there.
