i have a 1200 sedan and have recently done a ca18det conversion with the s13 5 speed, i have a few questions. ive done a search on this site and to use the original speedo i need a mechanical speedo driver from an early skyline and a speedo cable from a bluebird, is that the r30 skyline? and also the cable, do all bluebirds use the same speedo cable? i just need some details before i start ringing around

I'm not a bluebird expert (thankfully), but I reckon the series 2 (L Series) powered ones would be all the same. Don't pay more than $20.

As for the "speedo drive", I don't 100% know. Again, I'm the kinda guy who take my broken part to a "pick and pull" place and figures it out. Best I can do.

Maybe the others can be more helpful, they've done it more recently than I.

If you can get a cable to fit go that way.

I converted my 1200 spedo to electronic using a VDO universal speddo assembley. It was a pain in the arse getting it to match the calibrations on the original face.

Ive got a speed sensor input for my computer. But if your not working with the factory ECU you dont need this.
