Can anyone tell me where and how much it should cost me to get the stud pattern changed from 6 stud to 4 (datsun) stud.

Depends on the PCD and lots of other things.

If you can get disc or drum blanks, then this task can be made easier.

The studs can be removed, and the axle flanges can be welded up. The flanges can be then redrilled to 4 spot, but if the drums or disc rotors go over the top of the wheel studs, then it may be impossible without making swiss cheese of the drum/rotors. These cannot have their holes filled with weld.

It would be decided on a case by case basis. My Commodore diff went from 5 stud to 4 stud to suit my Datto1200.

The front axles are a different kettle of fish.
You'd need either suitable 4 stud replacements, or have custom hubs made up.

its an early model mazda b2000 ute diff if that helps anyone tell me if its do-able. theres a guy in qld - steve- with a 120y with the same diff in it. he's had it converted to commodore pattern if this is possible should it be possible to change it to 4 stud?

Just for the diff. I would think it's possible.

I'd call DBA for the cost on undrilled rotors for the diff first. This might save you some headaches later.

sorry i should have spesified...its dual piston drums.

Well you'd be looking for undrilled drums.. might make it a bit harder.

Have a look, you might get lucky, and have the space for 4 more holes through the drum. You might be really lucky, and some of the holes will already line up with the 4x114.3 bolt pattern.

Better off to find another drum in 4 stud pattern of similar dimensions
Unlikely you will get an undrilled drum
