I have an 81 model ute which i'm restoring. I'm wondering if any of you guys have a/c set up?
I was thinking about going to the wreckers and getting an a/c unit out of a late model small car.
Any sugestions on what type of car i can get a unit out of that wil almost fit with a bit of modifying?
Thanks
Peter

A friend of mine just used a bluebird compressor and had to remove the back of the glovebox to install the fan. All he had was a single duct into the cabin with a single speed and you would freeze in there on a 35deg day...

there were some aftermarket kits available that bolted straight into the 310 sunny, I guess one of those would be perfect, came with brackets to bolt the pump to the A series, and the unit bolted up under the glovebox. But I guess it's still a matter of finding one.

Guys thanks for your replys.
But i am looking for a unit that is compact and out of a late model car because it is really hard to come across an a/c unit out of an old bluebird or sunny. If anyone can help by sugesting a make of car with a small unit or if anyone has one could you let me know.
Thanks
Peter
