Anything that will hold up to a mild A15 being driven... hardly

So
A14 4spd
5spd (dogleg or not)
Any other gearbox that will bolt in

In WA only, unless your willing to pay freight

A tough gear box you can use is a Celica 5 speed. these pack a punch. not just 5speed but alloy case too. In sydney there is a place called Dellows Automotive that does a adaptor plate and (kit) that will bolt the box straight to A- Series. Something to look into.

Yeh but the adapter plate is $400+!!! Too rich for my budget!


If i cant find anything, A12 box will have to do for now... or i have 3 1000 boxes

[a series] 5 speeds are so hard to come by. ive always wondered why someone hasnt brought a big box of them back from south africa, where the ol bakkie still frequently roams. they must have a huge amount of the 60series boxs in the country by now. spare dealers etc would be a good place to start. im in sydney ; cant reach.

i was under the impression that the cars with an A12 (australian ones) came with the same 56 series 4 speed, same as the B10 or KB10 (A10 engine)???
