Nah you have to weld on a T shape pipe then smack it off with a hammer.

Have fun.

Cheers guys for quick reply. Would have replied sooner but i could not get back into the site for some reason. From the sounds of things its a no brainer to get it off, thought it would have been more difficult.....maybe it will if it doesn't want to get off! Are the replacement front and rear pipes readily available from most auto shops?? And one other thing, would it be worth changing the welsh plugs while im at it to brass ones? Anyone have the correct sizes for welsh plugs and pipes to use?

Get some of that penetrating oil that you get in a spraycan.Spray alot of it so that it can penetrate good into the rust and crap.
Weld an extra peice on the pipe and good luck.
Those penetrating spray have done some miracles for me with regard to this problem.

Oh, replace the welch plugs while the engine is out.Better safe than sorry.
