Ca18det coil/igniter question..

hi all,
Im up to wiring my ute up and im looking at what computer to run, either an autronic SM4 or Haltec E6X..
they both have individual dwell control but
i need to know, will my factory igniter run all four of my bosch coils? there hec715's
any help would be great, Cheers, Dane.

hey man, i dont see why it wouldnt as long as ur new comp was giving a signal to ur igniter it should work as it normaly would?

The CA18 coil ignitor will run 4 bosch coils no worries, you just need 5v outputs from your computer to trigger the CA coil. If your running wasted spark you can run one trigger to two inputs on the coil igniter too..

It's common for people to power the bosch coils from the nissan ignitor and factory ECU.

Neither the coils or factory ignitor has dwell control, so if you are running an aftermarket ECU, the ECU will need to do that.
