Anyone know where you can get sr20de sidedraft manifolds from?
I'm after a lowport manifold to fit a pair of 45mm webers/dellorto's
I've seen quite a few sr20's running sidies in the rallying/racing circles but buggered if I can find out where people are getting them from.
I'd prefer to get one from NZ or Aussie if possible
Cheers
Nick

Are you sure that they weren't fuel injected? Something like this Injection Perfection or a quad throttle body off a GTIR sr20?

i have no idea why you would want to do this...but they dont exist. Injection perfection dont do them as their quad throttles bolt straight on. You would have to get the old maifold and get a twin webber naifold of any sort and tig it up yourself.
I love webers but you are really going backwards.
Yo will also have issues with ignition if u dont use the ecu and ignitors you are going to have to do something there too.
I have seen a CA18 de-injected with twin dcoe's on it in a 1200 coupe and it was bloody slow. Sometimes "simification" is complication. If you are going to do anything go for a quad setup with a nice ECU. I gained 30% power just over the standard injection with adjustable cam gears.

Thanks for that griffo. If he does could you find out what model SR they are for, the only ones I have found so far are for the s13 high port SR's. I'm guessing they will be the more popular ones as the s13 sr's have to VTC

Also before I get too many "why would you do that" answers, maybe I should explain a bit.
Firstly I'm not going to go carb'd, I just want a Weber manifold to use as the basis of my own ITB setup. It would all be dependant on price of the manifold obviously.
Why am I making my own setup when you can buy them off the shelf I hear you ask?
Well a few reasons.
1) I can't afford the shelf price of the sr20de kits and have the ability to make my own anyway.
2) I'm going to be running an sr20ve head on a rwd block and VE's have a different port height to sr20de's. So i would have to modify the shelf ITB's anyway.
3) If the manifolds are too expensive I won't bother, I'll just make one. Its just a line of research at the moment.

Thanks
Nick
