Grill & cowl vent repairs

some pic's of the grill I resurrected & the cowl vents that had cracks as well...

as you can see I built up the missing chunks out of the repair adhesive - this grill was broken in about 15 places w/big chunks missing along the bottom as well as the inside corner, the recessed groove line was completely gone

I used fiberglass cloth and resin that works well too.

Steering Damper Ed ????................where's your sense of adventure??? How you gonna do those Yvon DuHamel knuckles full of fiberglass imitations with that fitted.

Very nice, it's worthy of a pic in Classic Motorcycle Mechanics. (if you don't get the mag you should.dedicated to 60's 70's 80's Japanese stuff lots of classic 2 strokes)

Love the smell of bean oil in the morning. My vintage YZ is been done for some time and I have my modern YZ so I longer have any excuse for finishing of a friends TA125 RD200 hybred................the little RD uses KT100 cranks and buzzes to 16,000 RPM's. He built it to race 200GP, grenaded the motor and so I've had it since 85ish

I always wanted to put a 2 stroke snowmobile or outboard engine in a 1200................2 strokes were used in TQ Midgets one upon a time.

So back on topic...great way to salvage plastic parts
