ca18 turbo -how do i get parts???????

im not sure about clearences with an auto ,but manuel will fit ... i have decided to go ca18 aswell but i would like to know about parts, was there a nissan with
ca18t avalable in australia??? 180sx???? if not how would i get spares, gaskets, belts, rings etc etc etc

in australia we got the ca18de in the nissan exa, would things like the oil filter, gaskets etc be exchangeable
to the ca18det

Parts are no problem. Many of the turbo specific gaskets are 200sx (sr20det compatible). The rest are CA18DE. Given the pistons and other things are different, and with the current
inport glut here in Australia, of 180SX and Silvias, there are plenty of people around that can get 'em going. Although many people find just 'buying another import engine' as the
fix for engine problems, which works well enough. I think the 'disposable engine' approach to repairs is probably the best for your sanity. www.nissansilvia.com in their tech section
shows the Nissan Australia part numbers for CA18DET engine parts.

So there you go.

Any respectable gasket shop or engine builder will be able to source parts for any modern engine with out the knowledge of what car the engine came with. Mind you good service can
be hard to find sometimes.
