i have a 1974 model datsun 120y sedan. blue with a white vinyl roof. very old school.
the body is far from perfect and would be doubtful to pass rego in its current condition due to the rust but with a weekends worth of bog it should pass without a problem it is due for rego soon on the 23rd september
the car itself is not worth much but the motor has just had a lot of money spent on it.
it is the stock A12 bored out and with a machined A14 crank so it now has 1400 capacity with out having to change engine numbers. the bottom end has machined A14 conrods and new higher compression flat top pistons now running at 10.5:1.
the head is an oval port A14 so it has a bigger capacity, it has been mildly ported and polished, valves have 2 angles for a better seal in the head, also has double valve springs and solid rocker gear spacers and an A14 head gasket.
the cam has been reground and works mid to higher up in the rev range.
the engine has got a new double weber manifold with 2 reconditioned and tuned 40 webers. also has an aftermarket electronic fuel pump running about 7psi. it has 2" extractors on it with a 2" system and a single muffler. it is rather loud but sounds nice.
the original 4 speed gearbox has also been reconditioned with new synchros, bearings and a new heavy duty clutch.
the engine has not even done 100km so it is not even run in yet. i have been told that once the engine is dyno tuned it should have no problem producing roughly 120hp which is a lot more than stock. this project has not been cheap but im getting over it.

going on ebay tonite and rego runs out this thursday

if its not gone by thursday when the rego runs out i will be putting the motor into my other 120y, so this is pretty much the last chance

maybe you should put a price and pics up?otherwise it aint guna sell.
