Need to replace the rear shocks in the 1200 coupe.

However because they are unique to the coupe and so old no one stocks them anymore. Have tried Monroe, Koni, KYB, Tokiko and Elbach.

Anyone got any sudgestions or ideas about what else would fit or could be modded to fit. Everything I have looked at is too long.

Will try Pedders tomorrow

Cheers

Hi Mate,

Got the perfect shocks for you, as recommended by John Taylor from JTS had them in my coupe for a few months and just put some in my brother in laws coupe too.

They are Pedders Sports Ryder, they are actually a Holden Gemini shock (front I think) but they are great on the rear of the coupe.

Don't quote me but the part number is GSR9055 or something of the like, Pedders would be able to tell you.

I had to cut the shock mount off my spring plate and drill a hole and use a nut and bolt for the bottom mount instead of the standard mounting spindle because i'm using a ute diff and ute spring plates which have a much larger spindle.

I'm told they go straight onto standard coupe spring plates with no mods at all. Much firmer and shorter than the standard coupe shocks (and about 1.5 x the diameter of the standard shocks, so you may have to check how much shock- exhaust clearance you have if you are running a nice big exhaust for the CA.

About $250 for the pair, very happy with them hope that helps!

Cheers

Matt
