hi guys im looking at buying a car soon (once i sell the 1 i got now) and i was just looking around and a little 1200 ute caught my eye and now i cant get it out of my head. Any way to the point does anyone know if there is a kit or some way of putting A/C into it that wont cost too much. Is not absolutely important but i know when i drive my hilux ute (which has no A/C) and when its raining hard the wind shield fogs and i cant see a thing in front of me. and also just for comfort.

This doesn't really answer your question but when I drive my ute in the rain I just open the 1/4 ventilator windows a smidge and it defogs the windscreen just fine.

Cheapest would be to adapt something from a similar sized car. I haven't come accross any great ideas yet. Could try get a generic after market evapourator unit and air con stuff a sunny or something.

Have a look in the wiki, might be tough finding those parts though.

a knee freezer is by far the eaisyest way to do it.
All enclosed complete unit.

Not the prettyest, or the best setup, but puts cold air in the cab.

There are some really good underdash units that the hod rod guys use that are steller, but so is the price tag.

Any secondhand aircon unit is likly to require a new condensor, receiever/dryer, and custom piping, which will add up.
