After a pair of ute steering knuckles, I believe the balljoint taper is larger than a sedan...

Only the later utes. The early utes have the same balljoints and same steering knuckles as the sedan. 1976 and up is the new ones. Same as 120Y 1976 and up.

So i need a pair of 120y or 76 and up 1200 ute knuckles?

I got a set of LCAs and balljoints from a latermodel ute and made them adjustable, now i want a pair of knuckles ( already have a pair on the car ) but I want a pair to shorten

like so to make the steering quicker and change the ackerman angle to how i want it...

A pair of 1976-up 120Y
or a pair 1976-up B120

They use the same LCA as B310/Stanza. No difference B310/A10/late-120Y/late-B120 all use the same LCA. With it you can use the long Stanza Balljoints, or the short H74 Balljoints depending on how much track you want.

Yes, the stanza steering knuckles are slower steering than the H74 knuckles. But they do let you bolt-on 2" struts. The H74 knuckle is for 45mm struts.

If you want short steering arms and 2" struts, machine the H74 steering arms:

click Steering Arm for more details.
