Depends which engine you're using.
With the CA18, the amount the master cylinder sticks out is important. I like the AE86 sprinter (or TA18) clutch master cylinder. It's a good match to the slave cylinder on the CA18 gearbox. Also it's quite small, but the majority of the cylinder is inside the car, so I've had to modify the pedal box. If you could afford maybe 6 inches clearance in the engine bay, then a small spacer on the engine side, would fix this problem. The hole should be in line with the brake pedal hole. You could use a brake pedal off a 1200, and bend it so that it's spaced correctly. They bend easily in a bench vice.
The 180B one would also need a small spacer if you didnt want to modify the pedal box.
Sorry I'm not much help as to an easy method. But I'd be interested to hear what others recommend.

Chris.

Hi there with the celica box- A14 conversion (if you get the kit from dellow) you dont need a hydraulic clutch. I used one behind my A14 race engine it worked fine with the cable setup only had to machine the sliding bit on the nose of gearbox so its slides in and out it was a 3t celica alloy case box. Changing to hydualic is a real pain in the bum have done it twice now one with a supra gearbox behind the 13B Jport rotary ute and one behind my skyline box ca18det coupe.
Cheers Andrew

So Andrew, what goes better,{and or} is more fun, the CA or the 13b?
I have always had the fantasy that a 13b in a KB10 would be the ultimate ride.

The Ca18 wins hands down the Jport was a noisy thirsty bitch that attracted a lot of unwanted attention (cops)
The CA18 on the other hand is quite, good on fuel and heaps more usable power. The Jport had no go under 5000rpm and used around 40 ltrs to 120-150km normal driving
A 13b mildport or 13b turbo would be a better choice.

a first gen rx7 master cyl will work well and use the gearbox's original slave cyl.

i'm with andrew and chris, there is no easy way, its very much a custom job. what i did, which is no recommendation by any stretch... is cut the side of a datsun1600 pedal box off and weld it to the outside (as opposed to the inside where the stock 1200 one sits) of the 1200 "pedal box". you MUST make sure you get the pedal lined up with the master cylinder. it really doesn't matter a heap which one you use, but i chose one out of a toyota sprinter as they were the best for my size requirements. mount it first then do the pedal.

good luck!
