nissan a12 engine ?

hi all, I have a Nissan A12 engine I think it came out of a sunny the engine number is 550810A the reason I ask is I like to put a electronic distributor on but do I put a early one on or it does make any different which one I use as long its a A12 thankyou

Put a e15 dizzy in it put the A series gear on it weld a tab on the hold down bracket and changecoil
Been in the ute in 2 yr and hasent missed a bit

there are one on eBay for late A series Nissan for $99 dollars would this be ok regards warren

No welding is needed. Only if you put an early distributor on a late engine is that.kind of fabrication required.

Early A12: 1970-1973
Late A12: 1974-1994

The E15 distributor is easy to modify to fit an A12 and has stock reliability.
You can weld a tab, or use a non-weld method like this:
