It is a Datsun A-series engine.

* If it has a mid-sump oil pan, it's likely an A14
* If it has a front-sump oil pan, it is an A12A or A14 or A15

From the picture it's difficult to tell, but it looks like an A12A with a 4-speed. Any one of these will fit a 1200 with simple flat plates to adapt the motor mounts.

On a pad by the dizzy, a little engine number, said what it is. the first 3 digits will say either A12, A13, A14 or A15. It could also be an A12A. Is definitely a late style A series engine.

It's an A series for sure. Post 1974 I'm thinking.

Looks to have a air pump or bracket on the front of the head.
Does that narrow it down further?

Perhaps someone with more knowledge could answer
