spotted on DVD -1976 class winning 1200 coupe at Bathurst

While watching a DVD of the 1976 Hardie Ferodo 1000, they spent more than 1 1/2 laps following the class winning 1200 coupe around the track, even saying the 120Y had been too heavy. I got the DVD in a set from JB Hifi on Bathurst between 1970 & 1979. It's strange watching it just not slow down for the corners, but get past while going up hill. Mcphillamy Park looks to be taken flat. The whole lot cost $45, so good value.

Would it be possible to get a late model Nissan Micra, fit the 1.8 litre motor from a Tiida & then turbocharged it? Your answer must include parts numbers for the conversion. You have 12 months. Commence.

That's her, & it was in colour. There was even a shot of the car on the starting grid, way back round Murrays corner, because there were 63 entries. In fact, the car started up the road in the back ground of the photo.
