has anyone here tried to put a RB30 in a 120Y or 1200... cause i jus scored one for free of my dad.. needs a rebuild though...

will it fit.. it looks like with a bit of work, could squeeze it in. any ideas whether or not to?

Yes it may fit but you don't have a snowball's chance in hell of getting that on the road legally in QLD. You could go get a CA but be prepared to spend some serious cashola doing your buildup.

Putting a new motor into any car in most states I dont think they're allowed to be anymore than 50% more capacity then the standard motor. You'ld need to find a 2l car to place that in legally. The largest a 1200 is allow 1800cc. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

as far as i know in nsw's your allowed up to a 2L naturally aspirated engine or 1.8L if its turbo or super charged. not that that really matters cos an rb30 is way over. L20 or L18 with twin webbers and a cam would be cool if your looking to keep it cheapish, might unbalance it a fair bit thought??
