What would you define as old school? Just an opinion question i guess.

For me old skool is slang defining many whitewall tire'd, floor scrapin', butt achin', maybe bling blingin', roar roarin', flame flamin', sick old style american low riderz or maybe a datsun 1200 wagon low rider hehe

I have always assumed that it was the style of the early 60's to later 70's. About a 15 year period, more or less.

Hell, early to mid 60's was when i was in school.

chrome, super lite or jelly bean wheels, plastic sun venetians on the back window, basically a stock looking car from the above period, webers are probably even old skool now,

i think dodgeman was pretty accurate, anything from that period

"Old school" means people who like the things that were done in years past. It does not refer to a specific time period. Different from the "current" or "new" trend. But I agree, I tend to think of 60s and 70s car styling.

If this helps I am going old school with my 2 door sedan and by that I mean GX engine not CA,twin carbs not fuel injection,1200 disc brake front end not something of another model this is my choice and if somebody wants to do whatever to there 1200 more power to you brother.

I would agree that Old School doesnt refer to a specific period. To me Old School even refers to Pro Street style of 5 to 10 years ago of small rims with skinnys on the front and on the back the fattest tyre that could be squeesed on to the rim and the biggest tubs that could be fit into the car.
Old School to me is every form of modification that was done in the past.
But Stock Original restored or not, I would refer to as Traditional.
But if you go back to the 30's to late 60's you've got Traditonal Old School.

Old school to me is any car which has exposed metal anywhere in the dash area!

My beleif of old school is summed up by pushrods, caburators,points,beltdriven force feeding and any wheels 14inch or less.

Anything computerised, made of composite materials or covered in ANY graphics other than '60s style flames is FORBIDEN if you want to go old school.

However factory equiped 15 inch rallye wheels (dodge challenger style) or similar ar A okay.
