Last set of balljoints I got for my orange coupe I had to hunt for.
I got lowers from Repco . Part # BJ91.
The uppers I had to buy genuine as no-one had any BJ89's at that time. The genuine ones had to come from Japan and cost around $90 each (1992 or so).

I did pick up a set of uppers off ebay recently for $30 pair I think.

No other models share the same balljoints due to the suspensions being so different.

Thx guys.....

Info much appreciated. I'll try Nissan/Japan in the first instance. The Nissan parts dealers in NZ are awful. They wouldn't know a "nut" from a "bolt" half of them.....

Hi

For those of you who have a KB10 you may be interested.

I have tracked down the ball joints from Nissan Japan. They have a very (very) limited stock. Part No.

Top = 40110-18001
Bot = 40160-18000

You should be able to go to any Nissan parts dealer and quote these numbers. They are original Datsun parts

there are comapnies that can repair old tie-rod ends and ball joints around - they usually charge about $100 an end. there's one here in Welshpool WA that does it for all cars, but mainly 60s cars like dodge barracudas, desotos etc etc but said he can do any of them.

While we are on the subject of balljoints.
Does anybody know if the Datsun utility balljoints fit on the sedan and vica versa.

Thanks.

In any case the 1978 B210 ball joint is the same as the later Ute (75-up).

B110 & early B210
40160-H1000 BALL JOINT ASS'Y-lower

B120 & late B210
40160-H7400 JOINT ASSY-BALL LOWER RH

The question is whether the new PN supercedes the old PN -- or whether the part is different.
