Hi all,

The weekend, i got the old 120y out of the shed, tinkered a bit and got her going again, for a bit of Rally Driving.

Had great fun for the weekend, there is a rally track near my place, its about 2km's around, gave a VK commodore a run for its money. In 2 laps we had passed them, and then lapped them, they left not long after, very unhappy they had been creamed by the MIGHTY DATTO !

Anyway....

Has anyone had troubles with mud and water getting into the alternator, and stuffing it completely?

If so, how did you get around this problem?

Any advice is much appreciated...

Where is your alternator? if it is below the carb, you can move it over to the otherside by the distributor. Otherwise you may have to shield it, making sure it still gets ventilation.
