This is out of a C20 Vanette(Import) Drum to drum its 1420 mm and the diff on Monty is 1300mm, so I dont think that it will fit!!

Looks like a H165 to me. Im pretty sure they have a 4.825:1 diff ratio too and same size axles as the 1200 utes

if it's got 8 bolts holding the centre to the
housing,it's a h165,usually a 4.889.1 ratio.now,
heres the kicker,the diffs in new zealand,& could
be a different ratio completely,because i seem to
remember seeing a fiche saying the europeans
got a 4.3:1 & a 4.6:1.no,it wont fit under a 1200 sedan unless you run extremely negative
offset wheels.the easiest way to check the ratio
is (1)go back to the van you got the diff out of,
& check under the drivers side seat belt on the b
pillar.the bottom line should say something like
hc 4.8,the 4.8 being the ratio.or (2) you could pull the centre out,& on the ring gear it'll give you a part number like xxxxx-hxxxx 39:8.the ratio is the large number divided by the small number,in this example 4.8889:1.

I would look under the drivers seat, but its sort of well not there anymore. I dont think that I will be using this on Monty.

nah,it's on the b pillar,you have to move the seat belt out of the way to read it.you mightn't
use the housing,but this centre should fit into
a h165 ute housing.

Well I would but as most of the front of the van is MIA, I dont like my chances!!!

If I had a ute diff I would use the centre, but I am still looking for one of them.

Yeah I run the C20 housing in my coupe and it is W-I-D-E With average offset wheels they just fit inside the flares. Easiest way is to get a ute housing and use the C20 centre for "special" occasions It is a great hillclimb ratio but I would hate to use it on a street car Worse still, the 29 spline H190 is even wider but we will deal with that on the next car

If you use a 29 spline H190 from a 620 ute its only 20mm wider than stock rear end !!! thats what I have in mine. Alloy center too 4.625:1 ratio

So your saying that the C20 van diff is a full 120mm wider than a H165 from a ute? Thats just unacceptable
