hey i've got a datsun sunny gl (1981) and i've recently been looking to put a new engine into it. its got an A12 in it right now...... (stock). so far i've come up with putting either a 13B, FJ20, SR20 DET or a CA18T. I was just wondering would an FJ20 fit into a sunny???? also does anyone know how much an FJ20 (turbo or non turbo) can be picked up in australia ????? (half cut or engine)

any advice, comments or suggestions are welcome

Ive seen an FJ20 in a 120Y so should fit in a Sunny.

Saw a good FJ20 non turbo at Blacktown swap meet last week for $350, buy a manifold and twin webers and your away.

also you might want to talk to your local vehicle registration people before you spend too much money, if you plan to drive it on the road.

Hey there Maztec, An FJ20 will fit into a sunny, a mate of mine did it a few years ago. Quite a tidy fit. As for obtaining one... Another mate has one for sale, it does need a freshen up but comes with a brand new turbo manifold, rebuilt TO4 and a 32 mm wastegete. I think its got 5 spd and tailshaft too (to suit 1600).
