Looking for some helpers in the South East QLD region. I have a ute there that needs to be engineered and registered. BUT i need some seats and a grill.

Here is the glitch though - I am in Japan.
I am coming home in December for a month or so and want to drive my little rocket down the coast.

So, if you have some nice seats i am interested (i was thinking some MX5 or MR2 type things - I have asked Kev to help me out with the engineers certificate and he will fit the seats too once i work it out and pay him for his time).
Or if you have found some nice seats in a wreckers and you're a devoted 1200.com member and 1200 fan and want to help me out???

Sound like a long shot to you too?

A grill is not such a problem as i can pick one up after i arrive and the car is rego-ed. But if you can help with that too, great!

Probly work out some kind of payment via bank x-fers and delivery to Kev's place or something.

Any good samaritans out there?

hey jack, theres a guy on ebay who sells datto stuff like grills etc, he often has grills on ebay they go for about 80 bucks.

his ebay name is wrecd12 (i think thats it) and he is based in Toowoomba which is about an hour and a bit from Kev's place, bid on the grill and get it delivered to Kev's place, as for seats try looking at some import places websites on the net and buy them and get them delivered to Kev's place.

I hope that helps a little

Cheers
Damo

Cheers Demojob.

Got any links to some import-shop-sites around the place? Maybe i could grab a pair of seats over here and whack 'em in a shipment heading to Oz. I know of at least one guy here in the business of sending cars to the UK, so maybe he has Oz contacts, too.

... Also BUMP.

Ade and Pepper, PMs were sent. Email me back if it is easier to check rather than the PMs.

BUMP... again.

Basically just bumping this thread again but...

Has anyone ever put Series 4 RX7 seats in their ute. There were some on Ausrotary in Toowoomba, and i saw a ute over here (in Japan) the other day with some in it but they looked like a tight fit. All the little Nihon-jin are about 160cm tall so their legs fit in a toddler's pedal car. Just wondering about normal sized people.

Hey, anybody seen these seats before? I am chasing dimensions but they are OK priced at 200$ea.

Also found this deal: here.

Has anyone got basic dimensions for the space a regular ute seat takes up? Max width, max depth (approx with the seat back in a normal position) and max height???

B...U...M...P...

Got a few months still, but can't seem to find any QLD import shops on the net. Might be forced to buy some race/after-market seats. Ugh.
