1)Was kinnda windering how many people run their cars with out airfilter on carb. I understand that it makes the airflow into the carb better but dose it make that much of a diffrence and is there any harm in doing this? such as dirt and stuff in the air getting sucked in over time?

2) Was wondering about a nick in my wind screen from a rock, Is there any where i can go to have it fixed or filled in some how? Im in richmond canada Bc.

I yoy value your engine ,it's worth runnin a filter . some drag racers don't run one on race day.

Exactly right. You WILL get dust and dirt in the engine. You may get rocks or chips in it. It won't last as long as long. No new cars come without filters, not even performance cars.

Drag racers don't use a filter because the track is clean and the air around the track should be pretty good, there shouldn't be people on dirt bikes going the length of the track spitting rooster tails along the track.

use a filter on your car because, you don't have a clean track you are on a road, and it doesn't take much of a rock to go into the carby and bend a calve or have a bunch of sand go in and damage your bores.....

In Australia there are companies that specifically do windscreen repair/replacement (ie. Windscreens OBrien). Check out your local phone book. I don't know about the road laws in Canada, but in Oz you can have a stone chip repaired as long as it is not in your field of vision. Good luck.

A correctly sized filter will not restrict the airflow into your engine & will save you a packet of money.
There are two things that will kill an engine at what will feel like the speed of light, & that's heat & dirt.
The air filter keeps all the fine particles out that would otherwise be abrading your rings & bores. Once the damage is done, there is only one way to fix it & that is to strip the engine & hone or re-bore, depending on how much damage is done. A quality filter is one of the best money savers you can buy.
