dependswhat size and how many webers u use.
I recently bought two twin 40 mm side drafts for $300, but thats a good price, they in good nick too. Then u need a manifold - about $170 - $200 there. Call errol at www.datrats.com.au -
hes a good bloke and will give u the best price.
Unless you going to modify the engine , you can get them tuned real lean, but theres not much point in that. Mods that are useful are a different cam, head porting, exhaust( as the webers
put a lot through an engine, it needs to breathe clearly)and maybe fuel pump upgrade, but stockie would probably do.
You may be able to use an a14 or a15 head - they about $150 - $250 i guess.
Hope this helps....
Linc.

Hello 1200 fanatics,

It's been many years since I had the twin Weber 45mm carbs on my A1200 motor, but I do remember this much.... The first thing I had to do, was get a GX head from an import (from Japan) Sunny
GX engine). This head has the bigger valves and huge (for a 1200 cc motor) oval intake ports. This head is key to everythiong else, and without it, you really can't do the twin side draft carb
thing and get really big results. I next bought a Nissan Comp. dual side draft intake manifold. I also got a beefy, high lift, big overlap cam from Nissan Comp., a racing version distributor
from Nissan Comp., a set of Nissan Comp. headers, and cc'd the head and installed J series flat top pistons, resulting in an 11.5:1 compression. Of course, a free flow exhaust system was also
installed. It's been too many years (nearly 20), so I can't even talk about prices or availabilty.
The engine was pretty potent once it got to 5 grand and it pulled crazy right past the 97000 rpm redline I had it set at. As a sidebar, I still have the rare factory 10 grand tach in the dash
of White Zombie.

See Ya.........John Wayland

Hey John,
Should you ever want to give that tach a good home I would be a fine adoptive parent, I've been looking for one of those for over 15 years. I'm building a B110 1400GX
with all the Datsun Competition gear, alloy sump, radiator, oil cooler, twin Solexs etc etc. So should you ever want to sell, name your price.

I've got one of those 10 grand tachs new in the box. How rare are they? I think I paid something like $75 for it. Ordered it right from the Nissan competition parts catalog in
the early 80's.
