I picked up the 1200 coupe this weekend from Peter Zekert in St. Louis. He has 2 race ready and one that is half way through the conversion. He also has some nice spare parts. He has a head
that has the largest valves in it that I would never have ever believed possible. A whole valve assembly was broken out of one of the combustion chambers though.
The 1200 I picked up is in good restorable condition. It is the ugly yellow color and the body is pushed in on the rear a bit and it has a rust hole in the left floorboard, everything else is
easy fixable. I plan to start by removing the motor, trans and everything in the engine compartment and sandblasting it all and doing a good light blue paint job on the underneath and engine
bay. The gas tank is already out of it so that is already half of the under rear section already taken out. I am undecided if I will put in the A14 and 5-speed or keep the original motor and
4-speed. The 155 SR12 tires will have to go, either way. I will finish it in competition yellow. Mareo Speedwagon VII will kick ass.
