In case you fellas from down under didn't know, we never got these cool cars here in the US. But my friend Steve managed to get one here. And he's putting a monster SR20DET in it. Notice the big BLITZ front-mount too...

He's aiming for 400hp, so no Datto rear end would do... Putting in a narrowed Ford 8.8" with a locker:

that thing will be mad, just wondering tho how far back will the gear stick be as i kno even a ca is a fair way back.

Where did the LHD models come from? There was one at a local show recently and it was LHD, also. BTW, that is going to be one SICK ute! Very nice!

the SR and CA lever come out the tunnel in the same place, they have to cause the silvias are the same whether CA or SR gearbox.

He's building a new shifter that curves forward a bit. He's even fitting the stock bench seat!

The only LHD Utes factory I've ever seen are from South America. But, this little truck didn't start out life as a LHD. He bought it RHD and we basically traded bits. So my Coupe will now be RHD, his Ute LHD.

bench seat? I've never heard of this... does that mean it was originally column shift?
