What are these ca18det parts for? Do i need them?

Hey guys..

i dnt have one of this CA18DET Dropping Resistor.. am i gonna need one of these for the ca18 conversion into a 1200 ute?

also

on the CA18DET Ignitor Ballast.. there is them hoses and little one on it. i never got one of them when i brought mine.. but i have the ignitor part.

You need a dropping resistor if you are going CA18DET, The CA18DE's didn't use them cause they had a different injector.

You Don't need the vacuum soleniod thing on the coil igniter either. Once again it was a turbo thing but is not necessary for the basic running of the car.

I used mine for my jaycar boost controller!

yeh im going ca18det..

Someone like dattodude could probably explain exactly what it does and it's importance but don't go out of your way to find one. Firstly, you can get them off just about any nissan after about 1986 so if you need one you will be able to get one from the wrecker. Secondly, I don't know of anyone who has plumbed theirs up when doing a CA18 into whatever trasnplant.
